  • Chinese citizens with other visa types (F, J, H, L, etc.) do not need EVUS
  • U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents (green card holders) do not need EVUS

When to Enroll in EVUS

You must enroll in EVUS:

Before traveling to the United States
Every 2 years from the date of your last EVUS enrollment
When you get a new passport
When you get a new visa
When you change your name, gender, or country of citizenship

Important: EVUS enrollment is separate from your visa. Even with a valid 10-year visa, you cannot travel to the U.S. without a current EVUS enrollment.
