The Australia Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is an online visa system that allows eligible foreign nationals to visit Australia for tourism, business meetings, or transit without visiting an Australian embassy.
Important: The Australia eVisa does NOT guarantee entry into Australia. Final admission is determined by Australian immigration officers at the port of entry.
You must hold a valid passport from one of the following countries to be eligible for the Australia Electronic Travel Authority (ETA subclass 601):
Note: European passport holders may be eligible for the eVisitor visa (subclass 651) instead. Australian citizens are not eligible to apply for an ETA. Always verify eligibility at immi.homeaffairs.gov.au before applying.
