What is the Oman eVisa?

The Oman eVisa (Tourist Visa) is an electronic travel authorization issued by the Royal Oman Police. It allows eligible citizens to visit Oman for tourism, leisure, and business without visiting an Omani embassy. The eVisa is linked electronically to your passport and accepted at all Omani international airports, seaports, and land border crossings.

Important: The Oman eVisa does NOT guarantee entry into Oman. Final admission is determined by Omani border officials at the port of entry.

Who Needs an Oman eVisa?

The eVisa is required for:

Citizens of eligible countries visiting Oman for tourism, exploring Muscat, Nizwa, Salalah, Wahiba Sands, and the stunning fjords of Musandam

Business travelers attending meetings, conferences, and short-term commercial activities in Oman

Travelers transiting through Oman or visiting friends and family residing in the Sultanate

Exemptions & Special Cases:

  • Citizens of certain countries with bilateral agreements may be visa-free or eligible for a Visa on Arrival
